Why occupancy management is important

Being able to manage your home's occupancy all in one place is key when planning for the future, reporting and fulfilling residents' needs. By using the tools available within Access Care & Clinical, you’re able to proactively manage a wait list of residents, complete their details, and create a basic care plan, all before their admission.
This helps to secure relationships and save time when the admission date arrives. You're able to report on current occupancy levels and wait list occupancy levels, allowing your business data to be more accurate when forecasting for the future.

What you can do to effectively manage your occupancy

  • Complete a wait list form that can capture soon-to-be resident information.

  • Complete any resident pre-assessment forms, ready to map this information to the resident’s care plan.

  • Regularly manage the resident wait list status and ensure you update any transfer dates or suspensions.

  • Create care plans and complete resident headers. If you know the admission date, you can also enter it at this stage.
