Changing the Facility on AC&C Mobile

This article explains how to switch between care homes (facilities) when using the Access Care & Clinical mobile

If you need to switch to a different care home on your mobile device, follow these steps:

  1. Log out of the AC&C mobile app.

  2. Log back in using your usual username and password.

  3. On the Welcome screen, you will see an option to select a care home.
    Choose the home you wish to access.

📌Note: This process is different from the desktop version of AC&C, where facilities can be changed by clicking the facility name in the top-right corner.


Understanding How Facility Access Works

Facility selection varies depending on how your organisation’s AC&C environments are structured. There are two common setups:


Separate Access Care & Clinical Environments for Each Care Home

In this setup:

  • Each care home has its own standalone AC&C environment.

  • Each environment has a unique URL.

  • You must log into each environment separately to view that care home’s records.

  • On mobile versions 1 and 2, this requires:

    • Selecting Change Organisation in settings

    • Enter the unique activation code for that care home

This setup is typically used when homes operate independently.


Multiple Care Homes Within One Access Care & Clinical Environment

In this setup:

  • All care homes belong to a single organisational AC&C environment.

  • You can simply choose the care home (facility) from a drop‑down list in the mobile app.

  • This applies to mobile versions 3 and 4.

  • A single activation code is used for the whole organisation.

This setup provides a seamless way to switch between homes.
