Remove duplicate resident entry

To remove or delete a duplicate resident entry is by archiving the resident. Before archiving, you must change the resident’s details to completely different ones; otherwise, the system will display an error and prevent archiving.


Step 1: Change Resident Details

  1. Go to Residents.

  2. Search for the resident by first or last name.

  3. Click the resident’s name from the list.

  4. Select the Residents tab (top right).

  5. In the resident information section, click Edit.

  6. Remove any unique ID and room number.

  7. Change:

    • First and last name (e.g., “Duplicate Resident”).

    • Remove preferred name (if present).

    • Date of birth (set to any other date).

  8. Click Save.


Step 2: Archive the Resident

  1. Go to Admin > Occupancy Management.

  2. Search using the updated name (e.g., “Duplicate Resident”).

  3. Click View in the search results.

  4. Click Discharge and enter:

    • Departure date and time (current date/time).

    • Departure reason: select Other.

    • Enter reason (e.g., “Duplicate entry”).

  5. Click Save, then Archive.
