You use care domains to break care plans up into focused sections. As part of your assessment form design process, you can map assessment responses to different areas of specific care domains to dynamically build and maintain each of your resident’s care plans.
Navigate to the care domain page
Before you begin managing your care domains, you’ll need to get to the maintenance page.
Click Admin.
Under Clinical configuration, click Create/edit care domains.
Create a care domain
You can create a new care domain following these simple steps.
Click Add a care domain.
Enter the care domain name, then click Save.
From here you can add any default observation or intervention notes you may need, or add a sub-domain. This automatically saves as you go. When you’re happy, you can add your new care domain to care plans using the careplan builder.
Add a new sub-domain
Sub-domains enable you to reduce the number of care domains you have, and give you the ability to group goals, observations and interventions within a care plan.
Click the name of the care domain you want to add a sub-domain to.
Click Add new sub-domain.
Enter the name of the sub-domain.
If the text needs to appear in bold or red, select the appropriate boxes. This is optional.
Click Save.
📌Note: Each sub-domain heading must be unique.
Reorder care domains
You can change the order that the care domains appear to customise the care plans to your needs.
Drag the three grey lines next to the care domain.
Your active care plans automatically reflect your changes.
Archive a care domain
You can archive any care domains that you no longer need, ensuring that your data is only showing relevant information.
Select the checkbox to the right of the care domain.
Click Archive.
You can view all archived care domains by changing the Status drop-down list.
Change care domain mapping
If the care domain currently has assessment form mapping, the archive checkbox shows an un-map link instead. You need to change the mapping before you can archive the care domain.
Under Archive, click un-map.
On the Re-map selected items to list, select the care domain to map the questions to.
Select the questions, goals, observations and interventions to re-map.
Click Update.
Repeat these steps for each area till you’ve changed all the mapping.
Once complete, you can archive the care domain.
🤓Tip: Use the select everything checkboxes if you’re moving all mapping to a single care domain or sub-domain.
Restore a care domain
If you need to restore an archived care domain, follow these steps.
On the Status list, select Archived.
Select the checkbox to the right of the care domain.
Click Restore.
