Guide to download or upgrade Mobile App

Access Care and Clinical Mobile is a native Android application and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. The mobile app cannot be found on the Apple App Store as it is currently not compatible with iOS.

To download the app, you will need a Google Account to access the Google Play Store.

⚠️Important: The app is currently not available on newer devices running Android 14 or higher. If you are using one of these devices, you may need to use the APK installation method outlined below.


1. Download the App (Google Play Store)

Before you start

Make sure you are logged into your Android device with a Google Account.

Steps to download

  1. Open the Google Play Store

  2. Tap the search bar and type: Access Care and Clinical Mobile

  3. Select the app from the results

  4. Tap Install

Open the app

Once installed, you can open the app:

  • By tapping Open in the Play Store

  • Or by selecting the app icon from your device


2. Alternative Method: Install via APK (if not available)

If the app does not appear in the Play Store (for example on Android 14+ devices), you may be able to install it manually using an APK file.


Step 1: Allow Installation from Unknown Sources

  1. Open Settings

  2. Search for Install unknown apps

  3. Select the app you will use (e.g., Chrome or File Manager)

  4. Turn Allow from this source On


Step 2: Download the APK File

  1. Open your browser (e.g., Chrome)

  2. Go to a trusted APK download site

  3. Tap the download link

  4. Confirm the download if prompted


Step 3: Install the APK

  1. Open your File Manager (e.g., Files by Google)

  2. Go to your Downloads folder

  3. Tap the APK file

  4. Review permissions and tap Install

  5. Wait for installation to complete

After installation:

  • Tap Open to launch the app

  • Or tap Done to finish


Step 4: Turn Off Unknown Sources (Recommended)

  1. Go back to Settings > Install unknown apps

  2. Turn Allow from this source Off


3. Upgrade the App

To check for updates:

  1. Open the Google Play Store

  2. Search for Access Care and Clinical Mobile

  3. If an update is available, tap Update

  4. If not, the button will show Open


4. Create a Google Account (If Needed)

To access the Google Play Store, you will need a Google Account.

  • You can create a new account or use an existing email address

  • Select “I prefer to use my current email address” if you do not want a Gmail address

📌Note: Google does not restrict how many devices can be linked to one account. It is recommended to use one Google Account per care home.
